Spain
Wine regions – Spain is another big country with far too many regions to list. Click here for all of them.
The current European Champions will be the favorite for the FIFA World Cup. Their wine could also be high on the bookmakers list for the World Cup of Wine.
Switzerland
Wine regions – Wallis, Western Switzerland, Eastern Switzerland, Tessin
The Swiss were impressive in qualifying from a difficult group for the FIFA World Cup. Maybe not one of the best known of wine producing countries, but they are in the running with some good quality wine.
Honduras
Wine regions – None…
Honduras where fortunate to qualify for the FIFA World Cup, with the results going their way in the final round of matches. I think they could also struggle in the World Cup of Wine.
Chile
Wine regions – Valle de Equi & Limari, Valle de Aconcagua, Valle de Casablanca, Valle de San Antonio, Valle de Maipo, Valle de Cachapoal, Valle de Colchagua, Valle de Curicó, Valle del Maule, Valle de Itata, Valle dal Bio Bio
Chile qualified easily from the tough South American group. They will also be confident with the quality wines being produced in Chile for the World Cup of Wine.
